We founded Virtuous Bread in 2010 to change the world through bread. Since that time many of the Bread Angels, and others associated with Virtuous Bread have baked in prisons and old people’s homes, street shelters and schools. We have baked for charity and in hospices to comfort the ill. Recently, one of the Bread Angels, Gaye Fisher, took part in a programme – part of the Real Bread Campaign’s “Together We Rise” initiative – to bring bread into work with people who have mental health issues.
You can read all about the programme here in the Real Bread Campaign’s report about Bethlem Baking Buddies. Suffice it to say the programme was a success.
We are very proud of Gaye and the valuable work she and every one else did to change the world through bread.
