Bread in the UK
Whether or not you make your own bread, you may be interested in eating and cooking with the best bread you can find. An excellent source of general information and a force for change in the UK bread scene is the Real Bread Campaign. We are supporters and encourage you to become a supporter too.
For ideas on how you can make fantastic puddings with left over bread and in general - you should check out Traditional English Puddings.
Munchy Seeds provides wonderful seed mixes that you can put into the dough when you are baking bread. Contact them to buy in bulk and they will send you their excellent bakery seed mix in air tight buckets that keep the seeds fresh.
There are plenty of places you can get amazing home made bread that are not bakeries - but bakers working in restaurant or hotel kitchens that make fantastic bread. Here are some of them:
Ednam House Hotel - Kelso, Scottish Borders
Brown Dog Pub - Mortlake, London
La Cigala Restaurant - Holborn, London
Whiteslicers beware! You may be about to change!

How do I join this very interesting network?
If I can come bake after I die, I want to be a baker as there is nothing like the pleasure of making real bread.
Kind regards
Ivan
