Change the world through bread example: Baking with refugee women

Just Bread is a project set up by Liz Siena to help refugee women establish themselves more easily in the UK, make friends, build confidence, and develop economic autonomy through bread.

Working with The Refugee Council and Myatt's Fields Park, Bread Angels Debora Russo and Jane Mason ran a 12-week baking course.  The near term aim was simply to help the women adjust quickly to their lives in a strange place, using bread as that catalyst.  The longer term aim is to create employment.

The pilot was successful and Just Bread continues to work with refugee women to this day.
