Change the world through bread example: baking with mental health patients

In 2017, The Real Bread Campaign and Bethlem Royal Hospital did a project with volunteer bakers, working with residential mental health patients.  In addition to simply wanting to reach out to work with people doing what bakers do (bake bread) we all wanted to understand the impact on these patients. One of our Bread Angels, Gaye Fisher, participated.

We were delighted to understand that these patients, like the street children, prisoners, and refugee women with whom we have worked, experienced a positive change in their lives and states of mind and emotions through the bread baking process. You can read about the project and its results here in the report by the RBC.
